Module 1 – Introduction to Travel and Tourism

The second course module sets out to instil a greater understanding of the specific tourism services and products of relevance to the 21st century market.  Along with an overview of the marketing mix and a series of essential tourism product components, course content introduces the tourism product life cycle.

Module 3 – Managing Tour Operations

An investigation of outbound and inbound tour operations follows in Module 3, which guides candidates through a series of core elements and strategies for effective and efficient operations management.  Along with developing and maintaining strong supplier/vendor relations, candidates also explore the basics of marketing management.

Module 4 – Marketing Management

The fourth course module provides a much more detailed analysis of travel and tourism marketing management, with candidates exploring the preparation of effective marketing strategies, the critical role of effective market research, the specifics of several industry-specific promotional activities and how to professionally analyse marketing-effectiveness.

Module 5 – Human Resource Management

Course content in Module 5 focuses primarily on the management of human resources and the roles those involved in travel product/service provision play.  Along with an exploration of each important role independently, candidates study strategies for linking human resources in the creation of tourism products and how to create an effective HR strategy.

Module 6 – Transport Management

The logistics of transporting clients and customers from one location to another represent the primary core focus of Module 6.  Along with an overview of important transport types and their respective benefits/disadvantages, candidates investigate a series of potential challenges and issues common to transport management.

Module 7 – Quality Management
